What I love most about working at St. John’s:
Students and their curiosity get me ready to work each day. Teaching in a Christian school allows me to help the student progress not just in the academic sense but also in a whole child spiritual sense. Truly getting to know my students and where they are in their journey in life is one of the joys of working at St John’s.

Where I’m From:
I grew up in Loveland- St John’s was my home church growing up. Aside from college in Indiana, I have lived in Northern Colorado for my whole life.

Interests and Hobbies:
I’m an avid reader. I love anything science fiction (on screen or in print) and have a massive comic book collection. I also have a pretty extensive collection of domestic and international soil samples (my dirt collection.) Every four years, I make time for The World Cup, and that’s pretty much all I do for that few weeks.

A Personal Note:
My wife and I have been married since 2003 and have three daughters and a son. My father was the original Mr. E and taught in elementary for 13 years before retiring.

Why I Teach:
I’ve always loved learning and the idea of making a job out helping others learn is a natural fit. I had so many teachers along the way that truly made me a better person that teaching seemed like the best way for me affect real change in our society and to pay them forward for their efforts. I feel blessed to have students to teach and feel honored to be God’s instrument to influence the future for the better.
