St. John’s students from 6th-8th Grade participated in the Long’s Peak Regional Science and Engineering Fair, held at the University of Northern Colorado, on Feb. 13th.  As part of the science fair, students could choose to compete in 12 different science disciplines, including Microbiology, Medicine, Physics, Engineering, and Chemistry, and others. 

We are very proud of all of our competitors! 

Many St. John’s students earned awards for their projects, including:
Aidan C. – State Qualifier; 2nd Place in the Earth and Planetary Sciences category; Broadcom Masters Award and Invitation
Anna S. – State Qualifier; 2nd Place in the Engineering category; Broadcom Masters Award and Invitation
Kaitlyn T. – 4th Place in the Behavioral and Social Sciences category
Rory C. – Honorable Mention in the Environmental Sciences category; 2nd Place in the Colorado Chapter of the Soil & Water Conservation Society special awards
Grace N. – Honorable Mention in the Plant Sciences category
Averi U. – Honorable Mention in the Physics category; 1st Place in the UNC Campus Recreation special awards
Anthony H. – Pioneer of Science special award for his Microbiology project
